We are pleased to announce the latest improvement to Oxford Scholarly Editions Online (OSEO): a look-up function in partnership with the Oxford English Dictionary. Simply double click or highlight any word in an OSEO text, to be taken straight to the Oxford English Dictionary, where you will find information on pronunciation, meaning, etymology, and much more.
With this addition, you will be able — at a single click — to access all the linguistic and etymological scholarship Oxford University Press has to offer. Combined with authoritative editorial notes displayed directly alongside the text, and advanced search within and between editions, these updates ensure that OSEO remains a humanities resource unparalleled in its breadth and quality.
Please note, you will require a subscription to both OSEO and the OED to access the full information.
- Discover this exciting new functionality for yourself by exploring some selected works
