To JOHN FORSTER, [?EARLY DECEMBER 1839]

MS Victoria & Albert Museum (FC). Date: late 1839 on handwriting; "the House" must have been 1 Devonshire Terrace, and CD was presumably writing shortly before the move—the books being perhaps for Miss Mullrainy.

Tuesday Morning.

My Dear Forster.

I inclose a note for Henry1 to take to Chapman and Hall's for the books. I am going up to the House this morning, and will call on you between three and four, or about three, to affix my sign-manual to the same.

  • Always Faithfully Yours
  •                       CD.

Editor’s Note
