1Incidit Erasmo tuo periculosa et omnium grauissima cum calculo 2conflictatio. Deuentum in manus medicorum et pharmacopolarum, 3hoc est carnificum et harpyarum. Adhuc parturio. Malum in costis 4etiamnum affixum est; quando pariturus aut quid pariturus incertum. 5Suspicor hoc morbi debere me ceruisiae quam dies iam complures 6inopia vini bibi. Hae nimirum primiciae fructuum quos ex prae- 7claro aduersus Gallos bello capiemus. Has literas dictaui modo, nec 8id citra molestiam; tu cura vt quam optime valeas, optime Mecoenas.
