October 20, 2022

There have been over 30 new scholarly editions published to Oxford Scholarly Editions Online (OSEO) this month, including recently published editions such as Reginald of Durham: The Life and Miracles of Saint Godric, Hermit of Finchale (2022).

With this update you can find the latest volumes in The Clarendon Edition of the Works of David Hume, Essays, Moral, Political, and Literary, Vols. 1 and 2, and The Collected Works of Gerard Manley Hopkins, Vol. 6: Sketches and Scholarly Studies: Part 1, which published in print last year.

There are 20 titles being added to the existing Nineteenth Century Prose and Drama modules, including works by George Eliot, Thomas Hardy, and Oscar Wilde. We are also introducing the works of Henry James and J. M. Barrie to the site, plus the correspondence of authors such as Walter Pater, J. M. Synge, Edward Young, Hartley Coleridge, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Jane Morris, and Emma and Florence Hardy.

The update also contains recent scholarship on Latin Prose and Verse works, including Silius Italicus: Punica, Cicero: Post Reditum Speeches, Seneca: De Beneficiis, and Cornelius Nepos: The Commanders of the Fifth Century BCE, which published in print in 2021 and 2022.

This brings the total number of editions available online to over 1,700, which is the equivalent of more than 850,000 print pages.
