Author overview

At the top of the page is an overview giving the author’s name, dates, profession, and earliest and latest works included in OSEO.

To view the author’s overview in the Oxford Index (OUP’s free search and discovery service, which shows links to related content from all Oxford University Press online content), click .

List of works

The author’s works are listed in the main part of the window. High level works only are listed by default. These are grouped by genre (e.g. Drama). To toggle between viewing and hiding a section’s contents click the [+]/[-] button. (To expand or collapse all headings at once, click Expand All [+] or Collapse All [-].)

To move to any of the works listed, click on it. It is displayed on the Work page.

Moving back to the Browse list

To move back to the Browse list, click Back to Results.

To view the next or previous result in the Browse list, click Next>> or <<Previous.

Searching within an author’s works

To search for a term in the current author’s works:

1. Type or paste the term you want to find in the Search box.

2. Click  or press Enter.

3. The works containing matching results are listed on the Results page.

4. Open any item in the usual way.

Editions containing the author’s works

Editions containing works by the author are displayed on the left. To open any edition, click on its title. It is displayed on the Edition page.

Outputting information

Printing the Author page

To print the Author page, click . A printable version is displayed in your browser which can then be printed or saved.

Saving the Author page

To save the Author page click , and follow the instructions given.

Citing the Author page

Click  to export a citation to personal citation management programs in the following formats: EndNote, ProCite, ReferenceManager, RefWorks, BibTex, and Zotero.

Sending an email link

To send an email link to the current Author page, click . Fill in the details as appropriate. The email will contain a link to the current Author page only, which will be valid for the next two weeks.

Social bookmarking

To share a link to the current page on a social bookmarking site (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Googlemail, etc.), click  and choose one of the options.

Changing text size

To switch between standard (default) and large text use the  buttons.
