To THOMAS MITTON, [19 SEPTEMBER 1838]

MS Huntington Library. Date: Clearly refers to the interview mentioned in next.

Doughty Street. | Wednesday Night.

Dear Tom.

Bentley and Follett2 were with Forster yesterday nearly all day; they went through the draft, and everything (except one or two mere matters of words) was settled in my favor. I want you to come over to Forster's with me in the morning (Thursday morning I mean, on which you will receive this) to go through the draft without delay, as they appointed Saturday for its execution, and it will have to be ingrossed. I will be with you at a quarter past Ten.

  •                                         Ever Faithfully Yours
  • Thomas Mitton Esquire.                         Charles Dickens
